Global NGL Market Service

About the Global NGL Market Service

PIRA's Global NGL Market Service, through a robust set of reports and data, offers users fast access to the same exhaustive supply/demand and pricing fundamentals data, analysis and projections that have been the hallmark of all of PIRA’s retainer services.

The global NGL business is in the midst of considerable change. Growing availabilities from shale gas supply sources in North America, rapid refinery expansion in Asia, and associated gas and LNG developments in the Middle East have been transformative for the supply side, while shifting petrochemical feedstock economics, petrochemical investments and government policies are actively reshaping demand. The pace of change will be rapid over the next few years. Further, shifting fundamentals have ushered in a wave of major midstream infrastructure projects designed to alleviate supply-side bottlenecks. Amid these rapid developments, many important questions are being raised, which the Global NGL Market Service helps to answer:

  • With the U.S. already a key influence in world markets, how will its export supplies develop?
  • How will international trading patterns change?
  • How much capacity will be built and what quantity of additional NGLs will be produced?
  • What will be the timing of the various projects?
  • What are the likely prices of the NGLs and how competitive against other petrochemical feedstocks?
  • How will government regulations evolve?
