The delivery and distribution of
— or in the case of PIRA Online,
access to — PIRA Retainer
material is governed by the terms
and conditions of a co-executed License
Agreement. That Agreement
entitles the Client, or “Licensee,”
to share the material among 10 “Users”
(individual employees who have
been authorized by PIRA to have
access to the Retainer Service) at
one of Licensee's business
locations, known as “Sites.”
For a Retainer Service that falls
within these parameters — called
a “Base Retainer” — a
Client pays the standard fees.
Some Licensees, especially
those with large, integrated
operations, may require a usage
“spread” different from a Base
Retainer. They may choose to add
additional Users, or additional
Sites, or both. In such a case,
they may construct a customized
License Agreement, which
entitles them to distribution and
access that meets their exact
requirement. It is also possible
to arrange an enterprise-wide
license, which grants usage
authorization across a Client's
entire worldwide operation. On a
“sliding-scale” basis, they
would pay a discounted premium on
top of the Base Retainer fee.
Licensees may aggregate various
PIRA Services into a single
agreement, in which case they
would receive discounts for
subscribing to multiple services,
which would be a discount on top
of any multiple User,
multiple-Site discount already in
place.
